Orange County Rug Cleaners works on your precious Oriental area rugs for a few days not a few minutes.

Orange County Rug Cleaners takes pride on cleaning Oriental rugs the right way. We never steam clean Oriental rugs since this is the worst thing you can do to natural fiber Oriental area rugs. The extreme heat of steam cleaning will strip away the natural lanolin of the wool fiber and cause the fibers to dry out and become brittle. Heat will also strip away the Oriental rugs cuticles in the wool fibers. The high pressure will also push all the soil into the foundation of the Oriental rug causing small soil to wear away at the foundation of the Oriental rug.

We only clean Oriental rugs by washing. Washing Oriental rugs allows the soil to be gently washed away with help with our Oriental rug shampoo to clean your rug most effectively. But we first start all Oriental rug cleanings with a dusting. We dust all rugs to get all dry larger soil out of the Oriental rug so the dirt will not turn into mud during the Oriental rug washing process.

We then set all colors in your Oriental rug to ensure no dye bleeding or dye transfers will occur in the Oriental rug. Oriental rugs have problems with bleeding and that is why only Oriental rug cleaning experts should ever attempt to clean an Oriental area rug.

Once the Oriental rug is washed and all spots, stains, urine, pet odor and everything else is washed away we then rinse and dry your rug in our industrial Oriental rug centrifuge. In the centrifuge your Oriental rug will spin at high R.P.M.’s to dry and rinse all remaining shampoo and soils from your Oriental rug. Once your Oriental area rug is done with the centrifuge process you rug is 90% dry.

Oriental rugs are then placed into our temperature and humidity controlled Oriental rug drying room. This room promptly removes remaining moisture from the Oriental area rugs. Drying the rugs out in a controlled manor and as soon as possible prevents the colors from ever having a chance in bleeding into one another.

When the Oriental rug is fully dry we will post groom the rug and touch up any areas of the Oriental rug such as the fringe and make sure all areas of the rug meets our high expectations.
